Past
Scholarship Recipients
YCDFS initiated its scholarship
assistance with the graduating
class of 1997.Since
that time, we have awarded 545
scholarships totaling $683,009.
Past scholarships have ranged
between $250 and $1,000 per scholarship recipient. Since
2003, all recipients have
been eligible for multi-year scholarship
support. YCDFS now offers up to
four years of assistance.
These students have attended
a host of two- and four-year
institutions of higher education.
The charts below list the colleges, universities, technical institutes,

Scholarship Application Process
Each year, YCDFS accepts
applications for scholarship support
from high school seniors who reside in the City of York and who
are attending William Penn High School, York County School of Technology,
or York County High School. Scholarship applications can be obtained
from the Guidance or College and Career Counseling Office at each
of these schools.
Scholarship funds may
be used at any post-secondary educational
institution.
Scholarship
recipients may be eligible for
up to four years of scholarship
assistance, provided that they make adequate annual progress toward
program completion. YCDFS will provide guidelines and will make
renewal applications available annually. The
most recent applications for scholarships
available on our “How
