Ongoing & Past
Fundraisers:
- The York Foundation hosts the York City Dollars for Scholars Endowment as well as endowment funds created by several alumni classes (1934, 1941, 19M42, 1945, 1951, 1959).
- Local families have honored or memorialized loved ones through "named funds" with the York Foundation and have designated YCDFS as recipients of annual distributions towards scholarship assistance.
- School district employees donate through payroll deduction.
- PTO’s and school staffs donate special scholarship funds.
- Students
contribute through the annual "Penny Brigade" (more than 2,000,000 pennies have been donated by school students and their families).
- Proceeds from the annual Four Chaplains Prayer Breakfast provide scholarship aid annually to a student who attended Alexander Goode Elementary School.
- Individuals and businesses have made generous donations.

roasts/toasts on behalf of
YCDFS.
York City Dollars for Scholars is a tax-exempt charitable organization under IRS regulations [section 501(c)(3)] through our affiliation with the national Scholarship America organization.
